Hire Local.
Verified Opportunity.

Are you passionate about the Poconos? Do you have a favorite hidden hiking trail, a go-to coffee shop that deserves more love, or a story about our community that needs to be told?

Poconos.best is looking for local voices to help us build the most authentic, human-driven directory in the region. We are moving away from "AI-generated filler" and looking for real people who live, work, and play in the 570 to share their expertise.

Why Write With Us?

This is a volunteer, non-compensated position designed for aspiring writers, local enthusiasts, and community advocates who want to:

• Get Your Name on the Map: Every article includes a dedicated byline and a platform to showcase your writing to thousands of local readers.
• Build Your Portfolio: Perfect for students or new writers looking to establish a professional digital footprint.
• Support Local: Help independent businesses and regional gems get the visibility they deserve without the filter of corporate advertising.
• Community Impact: Be part of a project dedicated to transparency and local self-efficacy.

What We Are Looking For:

We aren’t looking for "tech-speak" or polished marketing copy. We want human-to-human connection.

• Authentic Local Knowledge: You know the difference between the tourist traps and the real local favorites.
• No AI, No Shortcuts: We value structured, relational data and real human perspective. If you love writing from the heart, you’ll fit right in.
• Diverse Interests: Whether you’re into the local music scene, outdoor adventures, school board news, or the best fishing spots, there is a place for your voice.

Topic Ideas to Get You Started:

• Hidden Gems: That one restaurant or park no one talks about.
• Local Legends: Spotlighting the small business owners who make our towns run.
• The "Real" Poconos: Guides for locals, by locals.
• Event Coverage: Keeping the community informed on what’s actually happening this weekend.
